Angus Mohr kicks off the month with an appearance on the 1st at the Odyssey Beerkwerks Brewery and Taproom in Arvada at 8 PM then closes it out with a Halloween/Samhain show on the 29th at the Little Bear in Evergreen at 9 PM.
On the 9th, The Bedlam Boys perform at Gold Hill Theatres in Woodland Park at 9:30 PM. They’re hoping to get their first CD from this show.
Laura Melling tells Ancient stories (with brief discussion) with Margot Krimmel harp accompaniment at the Letterpress Gallery Public House, 316 Willow Street, Ft. Collins on the 2nd at 5 PM. $15.00 suggested donation
Chancers Hooley is at the Blue Spruce Brewery in Centennial on the 7th from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
Potcheen headlines the Carbondale Celtic Festival on the 7th on Main Street from 7-10 PM, returns to Carbondale for a show – “Rolling the Bones in Bonedale” – at The Black Nugget on the 28th at 9 PM then ends the month at Cactus Jack’s Saloon in Evergreen on the 29th.
Catch Wild Mountain on the 1st at Clancy’s Irish Pub in Wheat Ridge, 8:30-11:30 and at Tennyson’s Tap for a Hootenanny at 9 PM on the 7th.
Skean Dubh plays for the Golden City Brewery BBQ on the 15th from 1-4 PM
The Mountain Road Ceili Band has its usual monthly 3rd Friday gig at The Margarita at Pine Creek in North Colorado Springs on the 20th from 6:30-9:30 PM.
Avourneen opens the month on the 1st at the Abbey Tavern from 1-8 PM. On the 7th, play in the Avalon Ballroom in Boulder for the Contra Dance from 7-8 PM (Tickets start at $10), on the 8th at 8 PM in Stella’s Coffee Haus on S. Pearl St. in Denver then on the 24th film a set with the Nightly Met, a TV show produced through the Metropolitan State University Office of Student Media. The performance will be broadcast on Denver public access TV channel 58.
Lougheed is on Clancy’s stage in Wheat Ridge on the 15th from 5-8 PM.
Big Paddy plays for the Westminster Brewery Halloween costume ball at 8 PM on the 29th. Big Paddy has a new Album entitled “Times are Tough” and a new fiddler named Karen Lauffer, formerly with Delilah’s Revenge.
