COLORADO TARTAN DAY FESTIVAL April 11-12
A grass-roots effort by individuals interested in keeping alive Scottish and Celtic heritages lead to the creation of the Colorado Tartan Day in 1996 by the Colorado General Assembly. Since the official State recognition, committed volunteers spend each year planning and conducting various fund raisers to support Colorado Tartan Day with such fund raisers as the Highland Sweetheart Tea and whisky tasting events to provide the best possible Colorado Tartan Day for the public’s enjoyment. This year the free event will be held April 11-12 at Roosevelt Park 700 Longs Peak Ave, Longmont, CO
Listen and dance a jig to excellent highland rock and roll with Angus Mohr and Celtic Legacy, visit and clan booths and vendor booths, watch the Colorado Youth Pipe Band and Dancers, the 79th Highlanders and historic re-enactors and enjoy a day in which all people celebrate Scottish and Celtic heritage.
