The award-winning 8-piece Scottish Band Skerryvore launches a swing through Colorado at 8 PM (doors 7 PM) from the Soiled Dove Underground on the 12th. On the 13th they head south to the Stargazers Theatre & Event Center in Colorado Springs for an all-ages 7 PM show (doors at 6 PM). Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of show. Colcannon performs at 7:30 PM on the 11th in The Muse, 200 E. South Boulder Road, in Lafayette then is joined by Take Down the Door for what will be a very entertaining show in Daniels Hall at Swallow Hill Music Center on the 26th for an all-ages show. Doors at 7 PM, show at 8 PM. Tickets are $20-22
One for the Foxes – Denver’s own Joanna Hyde, Tadgh O’Meachair from Howth, County Dublin and Dave Curley from Corofin, County Galway, are on their own Colorado tour with a 21+ show in the Gold Room in Colorado Springs on the 2nd at 8 PM (doors 7 PM), a show in the Coaldale Schoolhouse on the 3rd, an all-ages gig at 7 PM in the Mesa Theater in Grand Junction on the 4th (tix $15 in advance, $20 at the door), move on to Ouray for a 7:30 PM (doors at 6:30 PM) show in the historic Wright Opera House (students $5, adults $15 in advance, $18 at the door) then close out Colorado with a house concert in Durango on the 6th. Avourneen is in the studio working on a new CD so have a light month with an 8 PM (lesson at 7:15 PM), gig on the 4th for the Boulder Contra Dance, Avalon Ballroom, 6185 Arapahoe Road, $10 and a 7:30 PM (lesson at 7 PM), performance in Colorado Springs, All About Dance Studio, 2318 Vickers Drive, CO Springs, $9 on the 19th. Adam Goldstein is at the Clocktower on the 5th, 12th and 26th for the preshow prior to the Burlesque show at 11 PM.
Having survived a raucous weekend with 6,000 firefighters, Brian Clancy returns to the scene of the crime at Jack Quinn Irish Pub, downtown Colorado Springs, on the 10th at 7:30 PM.
The McDeviants also participated in the International Fire Fighters Memorial celebration at the end of September and are back at Jack Quinn’s on the 3rd from 7:30-11:30 PM. Kevin McDeviant performs a solo act on the 12th and 26th at Abby’s Irish Pub in Colorado Springs from 7-10 PM and at Jack Quinn’s on the 17th from 7:30-11:30.
The Pine Creek Tippers do their monthly gig at The Margarita in Colorado Springs on the 18th from 6:30 PM to about 9 PM.
Chancer’s Hooley is at the Blue Spruce Brewery 4151 E County Line Rd, Unit G, Centennial, Colorado on the 4th from 7-9 PM.
Skean Dubh provides the music for the ChiliFest from 3-5 PM on the 19th at the at the Golden City Brewery in downtown Golden.
