The Rocky Bards, accompanied by members of the Northern Colorado Caledonia Pipe Band present A CELTIC EVENING with all proceeds going to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The first event will be on the 5th at 7 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 20th St. in Greeley. The second will be on the 9th at 7 PM in the h. 7pm Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia, St. Fort Collins. Tickets $20 at the Box Office.

 

Skean Dubh plays at 6 M on the 5th at the Jamestown Mercantile.
As mentioned last month, Big Paddy has hired Karen Lauffer as their new fiddle player replacing Jamie Krutz who has joined a Beatles cover band.  The band is working on an original album they hope to release by St. Patrick’s Day 2017.  Until then, the band performs on the 11th at 10 PM in the Bohemian Biergarten in Boulder, Jack Quinn’s Alehouse and Pub in Colorado Springsat 9 PM on the 19th and for the Westminster Brewing Company’s Anniversary Party at 7:30 PM on the 26th.

 

Since the weather has cooled and sunset comes earlier, The Mountain Road Ceili Band has moved from the patio to the downstairs lounge at The Margarita at Pine Creek in Colorado Springs on 18th from 6:30-9:00 PM.

 

Wild Mountain is at Clancy’s Irish Pub in Wheat Ridge on the 12th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM and at the Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen on the 26th from 4-8 PM.

 

The Beth Gadbaw Trio plays at The Old Gallery in Allenspark, 14863 Peak to Peak Highway, 303-747-2906, on the 4th at 7 PM, at the Swallow Hill Music Hall in Denver, 71 E. Yale, 303-777-1003, at 8 PM on the 6th swallowhillmusic.org and for the Concert Series at Nevei Kodesh , Boulder, at 1:30 PM on the 6th, 1925 Glenwood Drive, 303-443-4567, neveikodesh.org

 

Chancers Hooley is on the fabled Little Bear stage in Evergreen on the 4th from 5 – 8 PM.

The band is also working very hard on their next CD that will be comprised of all covers that they hope to release around the first of the year.

 

Avourneen has a busy month with a 7 PM show on the 4th at the St. Patrick’s Brewing Co.in Littleton, an appearance at the Exchange Tavern in Westminster at 8 PN on the 11th, 9 PM at Ned Kelly’s Irish Pub in Littleton on the 12th, playing for the Salida Contra Dance, 330 Burnett Ave, in Poncha Springs on the 19th (tickets start at $7) and close out the month with A Night of Irish Folk Music in the Clocktower Cabaret, 16th and Arapahoe on Denver’s 16th Street Mall at 7 PM on the 20th. Tickets start at $15.

 

Fans of Colcannon can see them in performance at Swallow Hill, 71 E. Yale Avenue in Denver on the 11th at 8 PM or in the Blue River Room of the North Branch Library, 651 Center Circle in Silverthorne on the 18th 6.30 PM.

 

The Celtic Friends open for Avourneen in the Clocktower Cabaret on the 16th Street Mall on the 20th at 7 PM.  Tickets start at $15.

 

The Bedlam Boys do their usual 7 PM show on Thursday nights at the Bierwerks Brewery in Woodland Park and are the Black Rose Friday Night Feature Act on the 25th at 7 PM in the
Black Forest Community Center in Colorado Springs. Tickets $5-$10.
