The 18th Annual Rocky Mountain Fiddle Camp starts on the 21st and runs through the 24th. Instruction and performances will include Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton, Bluegrass and old time fiddling plus guitar, banjo, ukelele, piano, flute, tin whistle, cello, dance calling, Southwest tunes, O’Carolan tunes, quartets, chamber music, and bluegrass band lab. Angus Mohr brings their Highland rock and roll to the Colorado Irish Festival Celtic Main Stage at 2:30 PM on the 9th then moves to the Clontarf Whiskey Pub Stage for a show at 8:30 PM on the 10th.
The Hydes – brother and sister Iain and Joanna, with special guest Tadhg Ó Meachair of the award-winning Irish band Goitse, release their debut album, Green and Blue, a mix of Americana, Irish, bluegrass and swing music at 8 PM on the 23rd in Daniels Hall at Swallow Hill. The lovely, talented and reliable Brian Clancy is at Jack Quinn’s in Downtown Colorado Springs on the 7th, 14th and 21st at 7:30 PM – July 7, 14 and at The Irish Snug on Capitol Hill in Denver on the 9th and 23rd.
CAL, who you might have seen at last year’s Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival with his band, brings his unique touch of Scotland in an acoustic solo show to Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place on the Pearl Street Mall on the 31st from 6-9 PM. Ceol Ceili will be opening for the Colorado Springs Symphony for the seventh year on the 5th at 5:30 PM in the Woodland Park Middle School and performing at the Colorado Irish Festival at 10:30 AM on the 10th on the Clontarf Whiskey Stage.
The Bedlam Boys play at Jack Quinn’s in Colorado Springs on the 2nd at 7 PM, at 10:15 AM on the 9th on the Clontarf Whiskey Stage at the Colorado Irish Festival and on the 16th for the Mountain of the Sun Music Festival in Woodland Park at 2 PM
Delilah’s Revenge plays for the Rhythm on the River concert series in Longmont at 5 PM on the 8th, appears on the Colorado Irish Festival Main Stage on the 9th at 12:30 PM and on the Clontarf Whiskey Pub Stage at 8:30 PM and then perform at the Elizabeth Celtic Festival on the 16th, time TBD.
The incredible High Kings are featured on the Colorado Irish Festival Main Stage at 8:30 PM on the 8th.
The Mahones close out the Main Stage entertainment at the Colorado Irish Festival at 5:30 PM on the 10th.
Avourneen opens the month at St. Patrick’s Brewing in Littleton at 7 PM on the 1st, then plays at Katie Eile’s Irish Restaurant and Pub in Westminster on the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 31st at 5 PM. On the 7th, you can catch them at the Illegal Pete’s on East Colfax at 9 PM with DJ Alf from KTCL. If Contra Dance is your thing, they play for the Denver Contra Dance gathering on the 8th at 8 PM at the Highlands Masonic Center in North Denver on Federal Blvd. On the 9th, they’re on the Clontarf Whiskey Stage of the Colorado Irish Festival at 11:45 AM. Continuing their hectic July, they’re at the Elizabeth Celtic Festival at 12:15 on the 17th. They head for Omaha on the 22nd and 23rd where they’ll play in the Dubliner Pub at 9:30 PM each night. They close out the month at the Denver County Fair in the National Western Complex at 4 PM on the 29th and at Jack Quinn’s Irish Alehouse and Pub on the 30th at 8 PM.
Indigent Row performs on the 8th at 7 PM on the Colorado Irish Festival Clontarf Whiskey Pub Stage and on the 9th at 1:30 PM on the same stage. They also play on the 17th at the River North Brewery in Denver from 4-7 PM.
Keep Britain Irish is on the Dublin Stage at the Elizabeth Celtic Festival at 12:15 and 2:30 PM on the 17th.
Skean Dubh appears at 12:20 PM on the 4th at the Pikes Peak Arts Festival in America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs, play for the Foote Lagoon Evening Concert Series in the Foote Lagoon Amphitheater in Loveland on the 14th at 7 PM and on the 16th at 1 PM for the Elizabeth Celtic Festival in Elizabeth. They close out the month on the 22nd in the Royal Gorge Performance area at Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in Canon City at 12:30 PM.
Take Down the Door presents a free concert as part of the Longmont Museum Summer Concert Series on the 14th at 6:30 PM. 400 Quail Road, Longmont.

The all-sister band from Donegal, The Screaming Orphans, pays a return visit to the Colorado Irish Festival Main Stage at 6:30 PM on the 9th and 1:30 PM on the 10th.
The Moxie Strings kick off the entertainment at the Colorado Irish Festival with their instrumental fusion sound at 5:15 on the 8th from the Clontarf Whiskey Stage, move to the Main Stage at 4:30 PM on the 9th and close out their festival weekend at 12:15 PM on the 10th back at the Clontarf Stage.
Potcheen opens the month down south at the Royal Gorge Park in Canon City at 12:30 PM on the 8th, then heads to the White Water Bar and Grill in Canon City for a gig at 8 PM on the 9th, goes back to the Royal Gorge for a show at 12:30 PM on the 16th, heads north to Jack Quinn’s in Colorado Springs for a show that night at 9 PM and then it’s back south to the Royal Gorge for a show at 12:30 PM on the 17th. They head north for a Harmony on the Green concert in Ft. Collins at 6:30 PM on the 22nd, play at Cactus Jack’s Saloon in Evergreen at 2 PM on the 23rd and then hit the road for a three day set at Hennesey’s Irish Pub in Las Vegas from the 28th – 30th.
Chancer’s Hooley is on the Colorado Irish Festival Clontarf Whiskey Stage on the 9th at 3:15 PM and the 10th at 5:30 PM.
