Angus Mohr is on the patio at Clancy’s in Wheat Ridge from 5-8 PM on June 4th. The owners of Lonigan’s Saloon in Estes Park have sold the pub and Angus Mohr closed out their long-term stage presence there on May 28th. AM has been a fixture there during the Long’s Peak Scottish and Irish Festival in September for many years and Lonigan’s will be missed. After sharing the stage for a song or two at the Colorado Tartan Day Festival with Delilah’s Revenge, AM is recording some songs with them for a future album.
Albannach livens up the crowd at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival in Colorado Springs at 9 PM on the 17th, 1, 5:10 and 8:30 PM on the 18th and at 1 and 3 PM on the 19th.
The Young Dubliners close out the day on the Guinness Stage at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival at 7 PM on the 18th.
Chancer’s Hooley plays at Grossen Bart Brewery in Longmont on the 25th at 5 PM
Gobs O’Phun is on stage at the Cheyenne Celtic Festival on the 11th.
Skean Dubh works their magic at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival in Colorado Springs on the 19th from 2-3 PM and in the street on the 19th at the Highlands Square Farmers Market in North Denver from 9 AM – 1 PM.
The Mountain Road Ceili Band entertains patrons for their 21st year at The Margarita in Colorado Springs from 6:30-9 PM on the patio, weather permitting.
Colcannon performs with The Alpine Chorale on the 3rd and 4th at 7:30 PM and at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth in Wheat Ridge. Tickets are $13-$15.
Big Paddy opens June with a gig at the Cheyenne Celtic Musical Arts Festival on the 11th at 6:30 PM, plays for the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival on the 17th at 6:30 PM then goes to Jack Quinn’s at 9 PM, is back at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival on the 18th at 3 PM and the 19th at 10 AM then closes out the month at the Walnut Grove Summer Block Party in Arvada at 6 PM on the 26th.
Adam Agee & Jon Sousa are in concert at Congregation Nevei Kodesh, 1925 Glenwood Dr, Boulder on the 5th from 4-6 PM.
Rare Ould Times can be found in the Jameson Irish Whiskey Tent at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival at 7 PM on the 17th and 11:20 AM on the 18th
The Bedlam Boys can be found each Thursday at the Bierwerks Brewery in Woodland Park at 7 PM on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.
Avourneen is at the Cheyenne Celtic Arts Music Festival at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza at 4 PM on the 11th, at Katie Eile’s Irish Restaurant and Pub in Westminster at 3 PM on the 12th, 19th and 26th and at Jack Quinn’s Irish Alehouse and Pub in Colorado Springs at 8 PM on the 25th.
Take Down the Door entertains the crowd in Sandstone Park, Lyons at 6:30 PM on the 16th in a free concert that is part of the Sandstone Concert Series.
The legendary Brian Clancy is at Jack Quinn’s in Downtown Colorado Springs on the 9th, 16th 23rd and 30th at 7:30 PM and The Irish Snug on Capitol Hill in Denver on the 11th and 25th at 8:30 PM.
The McDeviants rock out at Jack Quinn’s in Colorado Springs at 7:30 PM on the 2nd and at 4 PM on the 18th, at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival on the 17th at 7:30 PM, the 18th at 10 AM and the 19th at 11:30 AM and close out the month at Cleats East in Colorado Springs at 9 PM on the 24th.
Delilah’s Revenge returns to the Pike’s Peak Celtic Festival at 11:20 AM on the 18th and 2 PM on the 19th and to Jack Quinn’s in Colorado Springs on the 18th at 9 PM
Potcheen opens June on the stage of the Foothills Summer Concert Series at Clement Park in Littleton on the 2nd from 7-8:30 PM.
Festivals
The 2016 Pikes Peak Celtic Festival happens this year from the 17th to the 19th at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs. Featured bands include Albannach, The Young Dubliners, Skean Dubh, The McDeviants, Rare Ould Times, Ken Morgan and His Celtic Band, the Queen City Pipe Band, Big Paddy and Delilah’s Revenge. There will be Irish Step dancing by the Celtic Steps and Scottish Highland dancing from the Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers, heavy Scottish Athletics, WUSPBA Pipe Band competition, RenScots, The Celtic Caterer, Idavellr Vikings, Supersonic Dogs, kid’s attractions, 5K Run, fun, food, merchants, vendors and whiskey tasting as part of the festivities. The 11th Annual Cheyenne Celtic Musical Arts Festival takes place on the 10th and 11th at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza. Performances this year will be offered by Gobs O’Phun, Big Paddy and Avourneen. Offerings include a parade, clan row, pipes and drums, Irish Step Dancers, vendors, food and beverage and children’s activities. Admission is free. The Savage Woods present the Second Colorado Medieval Festival on June 3rd, 4th & 5th in Loveland at 1750 Savage Road just west of the just west of the town and just east of the Devil’s Backbone. There will be a special performance by Wendy Woo, Heavy Scottish Athletics from the Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes, Irish dancing from the Scoil Rince Stewart, Castle Wall Productions, kids’ play area, archery demonstrations, 60 local vendors, “live steel” demonstrations from the Society for Creative Anachronism, a special offering from the Buckhorn Brewery and mead from Hunter’s Moon Meadery.
