The Scottish Fiddle Club of Colorado presents a free concert on the 10th at 1 PM at St. Philip Lutheran Church 7531 South Kendall Blvd., Littleton, CO 80128. The concert will feature the 2018 Winners of the Scottish Fiddle Competition, as well as the other talented, long-time professional members of the Club. There will be a door prize drawing for a one-night stay for two at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs; a $250 value (www.gleneyrie.org). Avourneen begins the month on the road in Omaha at the Dubliner Pub at 9 PM on the 2nd and 3rd, then returns home for a 9 PM gig on the 17th at Ned Kelly’s, 5686 S. Sycamore St., Littleton. Englewood. On the 24th they head to Ft. Collins to play for the Contra Waltz Night in the Fort Collins Masonic Temple, 225 Oak St., 6:30 p.m. (lesson), 7:30 p.m. (dance) $15/$8 students. At 8 PM on the 30th, they will play Bob Dylan’s “Blood on the Tracks” at Swallow Hill Music, in the Tuft Theater, 71 E. Yale Ave. Tickets start at $12. Adam will play the late show at the Clocktower Cabaret on the 10th.

The annual Rocky Bards Celtic Benefit Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project is on the 2nd at 7 PM in the Rialto Theatre in Loveland. And if you happen to be in New York City on the 5th, you can hear Jonathan Morris, a young man from County Wexford who is working on his doctorate at the University of Colorado, perform in the Weill Recital Hall with other CU students in Carnegie Hall.
The band Across the Pond is being re-formed with Phil Coombs, Erin Shay, Melanie Bryant and Norman Hughes
